Julie, 2.5 years old, is an outgoing, happy, and quiet girl with a ready smile.  She was abandoned at birth and is diagnosed with Congenital Heart Disease and poor lung function.  She had surgery to correct double outlet right ventricle, but may need additional surgery for pulmonary hypertension.  One current video shows her on oxygen.  She has slight delays in speech development and intelligence.  She loves attention, is unhappy when she feels ignored, but perks up with cuddles and her favorite musical toys.  She understands adults’ instructions, responds when asked for objects, and cooperates when being dressed.  As she’s still very young, she does not yet have bowel and bladder control and needs help with care, but she crawls, holds objects, and can scribble with a pen.
