October 15 Winter application deadline for prospective host families. November Summer BOH information packets ready for mailing to prospective host families. Winter host family applications screened, orientation interviews held. Families begin home studies, processing documents for all necessary clearances. December Winter host families attend parent preparation workshops. Late December - children arrive, stay until mid-January when they return to their home countries. January-February Summer BOH information sessions held in our host regions January - March Summer host family applications screened, orientation interviews held. Families begin home studies, processing documents for all necessary clearances. March 15 Summer application deadline for prospective host families. May-June Summer host families attend parent preparation workshops. Late June/Early July Summer children arrive, stay until late July, early August when they return to their home countries.
